The fight, which served as the co-main event on a Most Valuable Promotions card headlined by Alycia Baumgardner, took a frightening turn after the final bell.

Green, a New Jersey native who was heavily favored to defend her unified IBF and WBO titles, was caught by a series of powerful right hands from Daniels in the final round. With Green unable to respond, referee Eric Dali stepped in to stop the contest, crowning Daniels the new champion in one of the biggest upsets in recent women's boxing history.

The night's main event saw Alycia Baumgardner successfully defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF titles via unanimous decision over Bo Mi Re Shin, but the evening's focus remains on the recovery of Shadasia Green.
