Bournemouth's incredible Premier League run shows no signs of slowing down. The Cherries extended their unbeaten streak to 15 games (W7 D8) with a commanding 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace—the longest active unbeaten run in the division and a club record in the top flight.
Manager Andoni Iraola was full of praise for his side's performance. "We dominated the game, especially in the first half," he told Sky Sports. "Second half they made some subs and put dangerous players in, but we still controlled it. I'm really pleased—the players showed they want to get something from this season."
The Cherries are making history in more ways than one. With Junior Kroupi and Rayan both finding the net, Bournemouth became the first Premier League side ever to have two teenagers score in back-to-back games. Iraola singled out Kroupi's finishing ability: "Junior is growing and finishing in a good place. His contact is so clean that you trust him."
Captain Marcus Tavernier credited the team's relentless work ethic for their remarkable form. "It's been a long time coming," he said. "We knew if we started doing what we're able to do, results would come. It's not luck—it's about the hard training we've put in."
On the young stars making waves, Tavernier was equally effusive: "They're two world-class talents. I don't think they'll be at Bournemouth for long given the quality they've got. As a team, we give them the confidence to play with freedom."
With European football firmly in their sights, the Cherries are dreaming big. "Last season was tough to take. We knew three points today were important," Tavernier added. "We have three games left to keep the dream alive. Champions League would be a bonus, but our focus is just to finish as high as we can."
Iraola echoed that ambition: "We want to give the players the chance to play in Europe next season. It would be massive for us."
