The rally was a masterclass in capitalizing on opportunities, as Twin Valley scored those six decisive runs on just one hit. The Raiders relentlessly pressured the Mustangs' defense, which committed six errors in the fateful inning. The comeback was ignited by Nate Sedgwick, whose clutch two-run single cut the deficit to 7-5. The go-ahead run then scored on a heads-up play, as pinch-runner Cole Devine aggressively took third base and raced home on a subsequent throwing error.
Relief pitcher Chase Reilly sealed the deal for Twin Valley (6-5, 5-2 Division 2), earning the win with two strong innings of work where he didn't allow a hit and struck out three.
