The Cincinnati Bengals are kicking off their annual rookie minicamp this Friday and Saturday, giving fans their first look at the newest faces in stripes. As Phase One of the offseason program wraps up, here are three players who could steal the spotlight in their practice debuts.

Tacario Davis, Cornerback
When a 6-foot-4 cornerback hits the field, it’s hard to look away. Davis brings rare length to a Bengals secondary that needs depth behind DJ Turner II and Dax Hill. All eyes will be on how he moves and tracks the ball at that size—an early test for defensive backs coach Charles Burks, who will be tasked with maximizing Davis’ reach and ball skills.

Colbie Young, Wide Receiver
Another towering athlete at 6-4 and 218 pounds, Young has a knack for going up and getting the ball at its highest point. Against air in these non-contact drills, he should make it look effortless. Cincinnati’s receiver room is already deep, but with few additions this offseason, Young will stand out among the new arrivals. The Bengals selected him with the No. 140 pick in the 2026 draft, and his journey is worth noting: he started at Lackawanna College, caught 79 passes for 930 yards and 10 touchdowns at Miami, then finished his college career at Georgia, where he played 13 games after a suspension and injury setbacks.

Matt Lee, Tight End
Though not a household name yet, Lee brings versatility to the tight end position that could make him a dark horse in camp. With the Bengals looking to add more weapons in the middle of the field, his ability to create mismatches against linebackers and safeties will be something to track during these early sessions.

As these rookies take their first official on-field steps with the Bengals, keep an eye on how they adjust to the pace and intensity of the NFL—even in a minicamp setting. For fans and gear enthusiasts alike, this is the first glimpse of the future in Cincinnati.
