Of course, Bayern Munich was closely linked to Simons last summer when he was leaving RB Leipzig, but Uli Hoeneß vetoed the deal. Recently, there were rumors that the Bavarians might take another run at Simons, but that does not appear to be the case:

There was interest from the Bavarians last summer, but they did not pursue a deal, deeming the asking price too high. Bayern Munich have been mooted as a possible destination, but Simons is ‘not a concrete transfer target’, according to Sky Deutschland.
Kompany did not exactly agree with Hoeneß’s assessment of how things played out, but it appears the coach still will not get the player he seems to want.

FC Barcelona appears to be very serious about making an offer for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni:
