Kim content in role as “challenger” (Footballist via Tz)Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae could be a candidate for a sale this summer…or maybe not. The Korean seems to be enjoying his life in Bavaria.

“I’ve never experienced a long period of not playing, so it was a bit difficult at first. But over time, I’ve realized there are positives. I rely heavily on my speed, and our team plays a style that demands a lot of physical effort. So I think the current situation is good. I always thought that playing regularly was the solution, but now I’m happy with my role as a challenger,” Kim said.

Kim has not lived up to the billing he had when Bayern Munich signed him and with a potential sense of complacency setting in, it might be tough to get him to give up his €15 million total package of a salary. Surely, if Kim was to leave Bayern Munich, he would have to take a reduced rate — something he would probably not want to do.

There were some very loose rumors that Bayern Munich could — again — show interest in Xavi Simons during the summer transfer window, but that will not be happening. Simons tore his ACL and will miss the World Cup:

Liverpool could be considering an acquisition of Paris Saint-Germain loanee and Tottenham Hotspur attacker Randal Kolo Muani:

Liverpool have shown strong interest in Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Kolo Muani, 27, is on loan at Tottenham Hotspur this season, with little chance of remaining there permanently, and the Reds have identified him as a potential replacement for winger Mohamed Salah when he departs in the summer. The versatile France international is also on the radar of Juventus.

Bayern Munich stars Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise were named to Kicker’s Bundesliga Team of the Week:

The Bryan Zaragoza loan to AS Roma seems like it has not worked out:

Believe it or not, Zaragoza’s contract with Bayern Munich does not end until 2029.

Real Madrid could be eyeing a move for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit:

Real Madrid are interested in AZ midfielder Kees Smit, 20, as an option, with his contract expiring in 2028.

At one point, Bayern Munich was linked to Smit, but it seems as if that is no longer the case.
