Rob Liddington was the hero of the night for the TCU Horned Frogs, who walked off Dallas Baptist for a 6-5 win during their nonconference midweek matchup at Lupton Stadium on Tuesday evening. Liddington, who hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to even the score, smacked the game-winning single in the 10th to seal TCU’s victory. Liddington went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Nolan Traeger went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

TCU led 1-0 after Chase Brunson’s RBI single in the first. After DBU tallied two in the second, the Horned Frogs tied the game when Cole Cramer belted an RBI double in the third. Brunson’s RBI double in the fifth and Traeger’s RBI single in the sixth kept the TCU offense moving. The Horned Frogs finished with 13 hits and drew three walks while striking out nine times and leaving 10 runners on base. Brunson and Cramer each had two hits.

Tanner Sagouspe earned the win in relief, improving to 3-2 on the season after striking out five batters over two clean frames. Sagouspe also earned his 150th career strikeout durng his relief appearance. Cade Nelson took over for starter Nolan Johnson in the second, firing three and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief while striking out one and holding DBU to two hits. Walter Quinn pitched two innings and had one strikeout.
