La Liga champions Barcelona have added a new name to the club’s full-back transfer wishlist.

This comes amid confirmation of the Blaugrana keeping a close eye on the development of Atalanta talent Marco Palestra.

Defender Palestra is for his part in the midst of something of a breakout campaign to date.

Just 21 years of age, the youngster has exploded onto the Serie A scene during a loan spell with Cagliari.

Across 32 appearances to date in the colours of the Rossoblu, Palestra has racked up a goal and four assists.

Added to his ability to take to the pitch on either flank, the Italian has in turn established himself as a full Azzurri international.

And as alluded to above, such developments do not appear to have gone at all overlooked in the boardroom at Spanish heavyweights Barcelona.
