The WNBA’s 2026 No. 1 overall pick isn’t currently playing, but she still has reasons to celebrate.

Azzi Fudd might not be on the court right now, but the 2026 WNBA No. 1 overall pick still has plenty of reasons to celebrate. The Dallas Wings star guard recently earned her MBA from UConn, and her teammates made sure the achievement didn't go unnoticed with a heartwarming locker room ceremony.

On Wednesday, veteran forward Alysha Clark—the league's oldest player—took the lead in honoring Fudd with a playful "Master Princess" degree, a clever nod to Fudd's beloved nickname, "The People's Princess."

The 23-year-old embraced the moment fully, donning a cap and gown as she walked into the team's locker room. In true graduation style, she shook hands with each teammate, thanking them one by one before reaching Clark for the big presentation.

"Here we go, Fudd! Congratulations on your degree, Master Princess," Clark announced, referencing Fudd's popular moniker.

"Thank you," Fudd replied through laughter. "This is the best grad gift ever."

Beyond the diploma, Fudd also received a pink bottle of tequila, perfectly matching her cap and tassel—which Clark carefully moved from right to left during the mock ceremony.

This academic milestone adds to Fudd's impressive résumé. She earned her Bachelor's in Communication in May 2024 before completing her Master's in Business Administration. UConn's commencement for master's recipients took place Monday morning, just one day before the Wings' home opener.

Fudd was sidelined for that game due to a right knee injury, but she made a memorable WNBA debut earlier, scoring 3 points on 1-of-2 shooting in 18 minutes during a thrilling 107-104 victory over the Indiana Fever.

Last season at UConn, Fudd averaged 17.3 points per game while also earning the Big East Women's Basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year award—proving she's just as dominant in the classroom as she is on the hardwood.
