The Austin High School Adaptive Bowling team rolled to a triumphant finish at the MSHSL State Tournament this past weekend, turning Bowlero in Lakeville into their personal victory lane. After an incredible season of hard work and dedication, the Packers brought home both an individual state championship and a third-place team finish—proving that their momentum was unstoppable.
The day's brightest moment belonged to Christian Strampe, who delivered a masterful performance on the lanes to capture the state title in the singles division. With pinpoint precision and nerves of steel, Strampe climbed to the top of the podium, etching his name into Austin sports history.
But the celebration didn't stop there. Amythyst Kretler bowled her best series of the season to finish as the state runner-up in her division, showing remarkable poise under pressure. Not to be outdone, Sydney Lange turned in a consistently strong day, grinding through a tough field to secure a hard-fought sixth-place finish—a testament to her focus and resilience.
In the team competition, the Packers' collective strength shone brightest. The squad of Peyton Wyse, Logan Johnson, Magnus Gabrielson, and Maliki Perez combined their talents and teamwork to climb the leaderboard, ultimately securing the third-place trophy. Their synchronized effort ensured that the Packers would return to Austin with more than just memories—they'd bring home hardware for the trophy case, capping a season that truly knocked it out of the park.
