Auburn women's tennis has made history, capturing the program's first-ever SEC regular season championship with a commanding 4-0 victory over Vanderbilt. The Tigers sealed the title in style on Sunday, April 12, showcasing the depth and talent that has defined their remarkable season.

The championship momentum was built early in doubles play. The duo of Ashton Bowers and Ekaterina Khairutdinova at the No. 3 spot secured their 24th win this spring with a 6-3 performance, while DJ Bennett and Ava Esposito displayed incredible resilience, battling back to clinch a crucial tie-break victory at the top of the lineup.

Carrying that energy into singles, the Tigers were unstoppable. Nationally sixth-ranked DJ Bennett put on a masterclass at the No. 1 spot, dominating her match 6-2, 6-1 to push Auburn to a 3-0 lead. The historic moment was fittingly capped by Ekaterina Khairutdinova at No. 2 singles, who delivered a solid 6-2, 6-4 win to secure the sweep and the championship.

With a stellar 13-2 conference record, Auburn now turns its attention to the postseason. The Tigers enter the 2026 SEC Championship tournament in Norman, Oklahoma as the No. 3 seed. Their quest for more hardware begins Friday, April 17 at 9 a.m. CT in the quarterfinals at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
