Auburn football has extended an offer to one of the top in-state quarterbacks from the 2028 class.

Auburn football is making an early move to secure its future under center, extending an offer to Sam Sollie, a three-star quarterback from the 2028 recruiting class. The news, shared by Sollie himself on X, adds another promising arm to the Tigers' growing list of QB targets.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Sollie hails from Gadsden City High School in Gadsden, Alabama. He burst onto the scene last season as the Titans' starting quarterback, completing 54% of his passes for 1,318 yards and 13 touchdowns against just one interception. That kind of efficiency—especially at such a young age—has caught the attention of college scouts across the Southeast.

Rated as a three-star prospect by On3 and Rivals, Sollie is ranked No. 19 in the state of Alabama and No. 66 nationally among quarterbacks, with an overall national ranking of No. 609. He's already built an impressive offer sheet that includes Alabama, Florida, Tulane, Arkansas, Boston College, Mississippi State, North Alabama, and Samford. Auburn's offer now places the Tigers squarely in the mix for one of the state's top young passers.

Sollie becomes the 16th quarterback to receive an offer from Auburn for the 2028 class, signaling the coaching staff's commitment to building depth at the position. This comes shortly after the Tigers made the top six for four-star QB Kingston Preyear, showing that Auburn is casting a wide net as it looks to secure its future signal-caller.

For fans of the Tigers, Sollie is a name to watch as his recruitment develops. With his in-state roots and a rapidly growing offer list, he could be a key piece in Auburn's long-term plans under center.
