The Brazilian Women's National Team, the Canarinha, has put the finishing touches on their preparations for a crucial FIFA Series clash against Zambia. With the final training session complete, head coach Arthur Elias outlined his tactical approach, emphasizing the strategic advantage offered by the tournament's new substitution rules.

Elias revealed he plans to make five or six changes to the starting lineup from their opening match. "This is part of our process and an adaptation to the competition rule," he explained. "Since this is a FIFA window under new regulations, we can make up to 11 changes depending on the opponent. It's a rule I really like for managing the squad, distributing minutes, and knowing the right moment to influence the game."

The coach stressed that these rotations are not just about rest, but about maintaining a high standard. "We’re going to take advantage of this to keep our quality and intensity, give opportunities, and maintain the connection that allows us to play well, beat every opponent, and win the competition," Elias added, setting a confident tone for the team's ambitions.

Turning his attention to Zambia, Elias analyzed the upcoming challenge at Cuiabá's Arena Pantanal. "They are a team with very fast forwards, so we must be alert in defensive transitions," he noted. However, he also identified areas to exploit. "They play with a back five and look to stay compact. We've worked on specific points in training to attack the more vulnerable spaces we've identified when we have possession."

Brazil enters this match riding high from a dominant 5-1 victory over South Korea in their tournament opener, with goals from Ary Borges, Kerolin, Ludmila, Dudinha, and Tainá Maranhão. Following the Zambia match, the Canarinha will conclude their FIFA Series campaign against Canada on Saturday, with all matches serving as vital preparation as the team builds towards future major tournaments.
