Newcastle United's injury woes continue to deepen as another key player is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Tino Livramento, the promising full-back, has become the latest casualty in Eddie Howe's squad, adding to a growing list of absentees that threatens to derail the Magpies' season finale.

The news comes just days after the club confirmed that young midfielder Lewis Miley would miss the rest of the campaign after suffering a broken fibula during training. Now, with only three games left to play, Howe has admitted that Livramento is unlikely to feature again this term.

"Tino is doing well," Howe said in a recent update. "He is improving, back running on the grass, but I don't think he will be back this season. We could maybe push him for the Fulham game but that would feel silly. We will let him recover and get a good summer behind him."

The situation doesn't end there. Veteran defender Fabian Schar's availability for the remaining fixtures also hangs in the balance. "We're not 100% sure. His situation was slightly unique. He was very close to returning to full fitness and got an infection," Howe explained. "He's building up his strength and resilience again. He's looking a lot more positive in his body at the moment. Whether or not he's going to be fit enough to take to the pitch again between now and the end of the season, let's wait and see."

For Newcastle fans, these setbacks are a bitter pill to swallow, especially as the team fights to secure a strong finish in the Premier League. With key players dropping like flies, Howe faces a test of squad depth that could define the club's trajectory heading into the summer transfer window. For now, the focus shifts to recovery and preparation for next season—where hopefully, a fully fit squad will be ready to make their mark.
