The Los Angeles Angels lost another game last night, and they also lost a starter when Urena was hit by a line drive.

The Los Angeles Angels are in a tough stretch, and last night's 4-3 loss to the New York Mets was another painful chapter—both on the scoreboard and in the training room. Not only did the Halos drop their 11th game in 12 tries, but they also lost starting pitcher Walbert Urena to a scary injury when a line drive caught him square in the knee.

The game started with promise. Jorge Soler launched a home run in the first inning to give the Angels an early 2-0 lead, and Zach Neto brought the crowd to life in the third with some heads-up baserunning. After being hit by a pitch from Mets starter Christian Scott, Neto swiped second, then made a daring dash for third. The throw from catcher Francisco Alvarez sailed into left field, allowing Neto to trot home and make it 3-0.

Urena cruised through five innings, but the sixth brought a sudden turn. Bo Bichette's liner struck Urena's knee, forcing him out of the game. The good news? Initial reports suggest it's just a bruise, and the Angels are optimistic he'll make his next start. Manager Kurt Suzuki explained the cautious move: "He took a hard shot off the side of his leg, but it looks like just a bruise. We took him out as a precaution. He said he was OK, but you don't want it to lead to something with the arm."

Unfortunately, Urena's exit exposed the Angels' bullpen, and the results were grim. Brent Suter gave up two runs, Chase Silseth struggled, and the Mets tied the game on a key RBI single from Marcus Semien. Then, reliever Jose Fermin surrendered a solo home run to Ronny Mauricio in the seventh, making it 4-3—a lead that held as the Angels' bats went silent.

The Halos managed just three hits all night and struck out 14 times. After their early lead, Mets relievers retired 21 straight batters, leaving the Angels to wonder what might have been. With injuries mounting and the bullpen in flux, Los Angeles will need to regroup quickly—but for now, the focus remains on Urena's recovery and hoping this tough stretch turns around soon.
