Premier League clubs are circling for Stuttgart's midfield maestro Angelo Stiller, but a unique contract clause adds a twist to any potential transfer. The 23-year-old German international has a €40 million release clause in his current deal, a figure that has attracted serious interest from the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Stiller's rise has been meteoric since joining Stuttgart from Hoffenheim in 2023. He was instrumental in their DFB-Pokal triumph last season and has developed into one of the Bundesliga's most creative forces, notching eight assists in the 2025-26 campaign. His performances have also earned him a regular spot in the German national team setup, with seven caps to his name.

However, a move is not straightforward. According to Sky Germany, Stuttgart hold a powerful option in the player's contract: they can remove the €40m buy-out clause entirely by paying Stiller a compensation fee of €2m. Crucially, the player cannot reject this clause removal, which the club can activate at any time. This gives Stuttgart significant control, allowing them to either secure a guaranteed high fee or take the clause off the table to ward off suitors and keep their star man.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Stiller's future is one to watch. Will a Premier League giant meet the asking price, or will Stuttgart move to shut down the bidding before it even begins?
