The Baltimore Ravens were always going to be an interesting watch in the NFL draft, with first-time head coach Jesse Minter helping orchestrate things.

The consensus is that the Ravens had a good draft, filling several needs while also managing to get a couple of players who have huge upside.

The hulking weapon could be a matchup nightmare for defenses, and as CBS Sports' Tyler Sullivan writes, fans could be in store for something special from Lane in 2026.

The Ravens offense already has physical freaks with Lamar Jackson at quarterback and Derrick Henry at running back," Sullivan wrote. "Now, they may have added another in USC receiver Ja'Kobie Lane. Lane is 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, and has a knack for winning in the red zone.

"For a franchise that previously tried squeezing the last ounce of talent out of various veterans, this is an opportunity to tap into a young receiver who could become a stud for years to come."

Well, Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are the two top weapons for Lamar Jackson, along with Devontez Walker, but Lane has every chance to not only see the field if the offseason goes well, but also be productive on it.

The Ravens will still rely heavily on Derrick Henry and the run game to move downfield, but having someone like Lane, who possesses unique physical gifts, could be a difference-maker.

Yes, he'll have to prove he can be counted on in training camp, and if he proves he is up to the task, the Ravens might have gotten a steal.

Time will tell, obviously, but Lamar might have an ideal weapon in Lane to create mismatches in the passing game.
