Streaming provider Prime Video is diving into college sports by partnering with one of college basketball's biggest brands: Duke. Amazon and Duke announced Thursday they had reached a multiyear agreement to broadcast three of the Blue Devils' neutral-site nonconference matchups per season. This marks the first college partnership for Prime Video, which has aired NFL and NBA games among other sports.

Amazon’s Prime Video is making a major play in college sports, teaming up with one of the most iconic programs in basketball history: Duke men’s basketball. This multiyear agreement, announced Thursday, will bring three of the Blue Devils’ neutral-site nonconference games each season exclusively to Prime Video subscribers. It’s a landmark deal—the first college partnership for the streaming giant, which already airs NFL and NBA games.

This fall’s lineup is a slam dunk for fans. The action kicks off on Nov. 25 with a high-stakes rematch between Duke and UConn in Las Vegas. Fans will remember the Huskies’ stunning comeback from 19 points down to win on a last-second shot in the NCAA Elite Eight—so this game is guaranteed to be must-watch TV. Next, on Dec. 21, Duke takes on reigning NCAA champion Michigan at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York. The schedule wraps up on Feb. 20 with a showdown against Gonzaga in Detroit, rounding out a trio of marquee matchups that any college hoops fan would love.

“Duke basketball games transcend the schedule,” said Charlie Neiman, Prime Video’s head of sports partnerships. “The creation of this all-new offering gives fans more of what we all want: marquee matchups featuring the most successful programs in the nation.”

To make room for these Prime Video broadcasts, Duke has also agreed to participate in additional ESPN-owned events during the 2027-28 and 2028-29 seasons. This flexibility, part of Duke’s partnership with its Atlantic Coast Conference home, ensures that the Blue Devils can expand their reach without disrupting their core schedule.

Duke athletic director Nina King highlighted the global impact of the deal, noting it “expands the global reach” of a program that has won five NCAA championships. For fans, it’s a win-win: more access to top-tier college basketball, streamed straight to your screen. Whether you’re a Duke die-hard or just love the sport, this partnership is a game-changer.
