In the high-stakes world of Real Madrid, where passion runs as deep as the club's storied history, a recent dust-up between midfield stars Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni has sparked plenty of chatter. But manager Alvaro Arbeloa is quick to put any concerns to rest, describing the dressing room as "healthy" despite the conflict that made headlines this week.

Speaking publicly for the first time about the incident, Arbeloa didn't shy away from addressing the tension head-on. He confirmed that both players were handed hefty €500k fines, but his tone was far from punitive. Instead, he praised the club's swift and transparent handling of the matter, and made it clear that the door is wide open for reconciliation.

"I want to say two things," Arbeloa began, his voice carrying the weight of a manager who's been around the block. "First, I'm very proud of the decisiveness, speed, and transparency with which the club has acted. And second, the players have acknowledged their mistake, expressed their regret, and asked for forgiveness. That's enough for me."

Arbeloa's defense of his players was both passionate and poignant. He invoked the legendary Juanito—a Real Madrid icon known for his fiery spirit and occasional missteps—to drive home a larger point about humanity and redemption. "He never made a mistake?" Arbeloa asked rhetorically. "We're all very proud of what he did in every match. How could I not make mistakes? We all make mistakes. But if there's one thing we love him for, it's because he made mistakes, just like anyone can."

The manager also confirmed that Tchouameni will be in the squad for the upcoming clash against Barcelona, signaling that the incident hasn't disrupted team harmony. As for Valverde, Arbeloa expressed full confidence in his role as vice-captain. "I'm very proud of them," he added. "I won't allow this to be used to question their professionalism. It's a lie that they aren't professional, that they aren't playing because of problems with me, or that they've disrespected me—it's absolutely false."

In a season that hasn't always gone to plan, Arbeloa took responsibility for the team's struggles, but he made one thing crystal clear: this squad has the character to move forward. For fans who bleed white, that's a message worth holding onto—especially as El Clásico looms on the horizon.
