Milan and Juventus meet at San Siro tomorrow, Sunday, April 26, in the big match of Serie A Round 34.

Allegri, a former Juventus coach and a five-time Serie A champion in Turin, previewed the match at a press conference on Saturday.

“Football is unpredictable. Who knows. Perhaps there will be a goal straight away, so the game will unlock on its own,” Allegri said via MilanNews.

“It’s still Milan-Juventus, one of the most important games of the season, at a moment when both sides are fighting for the top four. Spalletti’s arrival has given them something more, and they are having an excellent season.

“Juventus are doing really well in terms of playing style and solidity,” continued Allegri.

“I think they have not conceded for the last three matches. I hope they concede tomorrow. Now we must not think about defenders, strikers or midfielders. We must think about the final result; the rest doesn’t matter.”

Juventus star Yildiz made his Serie A debut with the Bianconeri under Allegri in 2023.

“He has important qualities. It’s not as if I discovered him,” Allegri said.

“At that time, Juventus did an excellent job, from the youth Academy to the second team, promoting valuable players to the first team. It all comes down to the work being done below the first team. I think Yildiz can still improve a lot.”

Milan midfielder Jashari has been linked with a move to Juventus, having received little game time at San Siro in 2025-26.

The Swiss midfielder suffered a serious fibula injury in one of his first training sessions with the Rossoneri last summer, affecting the entire campaign.

“The club made a major investment in a player of great quality. He suffered an injury, came back, and then had less playing time,” Allegri said.

“But that doesn’t mean he’s suddenly become a poor player. He has faced some difficulties, but he has enormous potential. He will be an important player for Milan in the future, just as De Winter has developed a great deal, and Athekame has also grown significantly. The club has blended experienced players with younger ones who need time to develop. Of course, there is always room for improvement.”

Only three points divide Milan and Juventus in the Serie A table, with the Bianconeri sitting fourth and the Rossoneri third.
