Big news for hoops fans in Ada! The 2026 Ada News All-Star Classic has shifted its schedule to ensure more local athletes can hit the court. After all, what's a showcase without the stars who make it shine?

The action tips off with the girls game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys contest at 7 p.m. This adjustment was made to accommodate several players who would have otherwise missed out on the big stage. "At the end of the day, the game is about the kids, and we didn’t want to leave anyone out that wants to play," said Ada News Sports Editor Jeff Cali, the event's organizer.

But the excitement doesn't start there. The preliminary rounds of the girls and boys 3-point shootout and slam dunk contests have been pushed back 15 minutes, now beginning at 3:45 p.m. That means more time for jaw-dropping dunks and clutch shots before the main events.

The Ada News and the Area Basketball Coaches Association apologize for any inconvenience the schedule change may cause, but we think it's a small price to pay for a lineup this stacked.

Speaking of stacked, check out the updated rosters for the 2026 Ada News All-Star Classic:
