Albert Riera is feeling the heat at Eintracht Frankfurt after back-to-back home defeats piled pressure on the young coach. Following a narrow loss to Hamburger SV at Deutsche Bank Park, Riera didn't hold back in his post-match assessment, while also addressing off-pitch rumors he firmly denied in a press conference.

"We're disappointed – both with the result and the performance," the Spaniard admitted. "It simply wasn't good enough. We lacked energy in the first half, and in the second half, we shouldn't have stopped pushing forward, even when we were leading." Jonathan Burkardt returned to the starting lineup, but it wasn't enough to spark a turnaround.

Riera acknowledged the team's shortcomings, noting, "We had chances to win the game, but we weren't efficient enough. We have to do better, and we have to play much better. We need the fans, and I completely agree with their reaction. But we stand together. Together we are stronger, and we will fight for the remaining six points."

Midfielder Can Uzun, who scored the match's opening goal, echoed his coach's sentiments about the fan reaction. "I completely understand the fans. They come to the stadium wanting to see a good game. Unfortunately, they see a performance like this from us. It's not good enough. We have to do more. We, players, aren't delivering the performance we're capable of. That's why we're not winning," Uzun said.

The pressure is mounting as Freiburg can leapfrog Eintracht by three points if they beat Wolfsburg. With matches against Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart still to come, Riera's squad needs to find their form fast—or risk seeing their season slip away.
