In the last few hours, the former Roma midfielder has posted photos of himself in the heart of the capital, in front of landmarks like the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain.
The Bosnian is in Italy with the father of Alajbegovic, a Bosnian talent who has attracted the attention of Italian and European clubs.
Pjanic has met with several clubs in Italy along with the Salzburg player’s father regarding potential negotiations ahead of the summer.
Alajbegovic, who played a key role for Bosnia against Italy, currently plays for Salzburg but is owned by Bayer Leverkusen, who exercised their buy-back option a few months ago. Therefore, the striker will wear the Aspirin jersey from July.
Pjanic’s trip to Rome is no coincidence. The Giallorossi have been following the Bosnian for some time, so it’s possible there may have been contact with the former midfielder and Alajbegovic’s father to set up negotiations ahead of the summer.
At the moment, however, given the internal chaos that has erupted at Trigoria, it’s difficult to imagine a deal taking place.
The Giallorossi’s priority right now is to try to mend relations between Gasperini and the management. Then, the transfer market can be discussed.
