Charlotte transfer forward Caitlin Staley has officially committed to Alabama, the team announced Thursday.

A Georgia native, Staley finds herself as the newest member of the Alabama Crimson Tide following just one season at Charlotte. The talented forward will add some much needed size to Alabama’s lineup in 2026-27, as the junior played a key role on the glass for the 49ers last season.

Staley also spent time at Western Kentucky prior to Charlotte, and will now officially join Alabama next season.

At 6-foot-4, Staley averaged 4.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game with the 49ers last season. The talented playmaker will more than likely begin the 2026-27 season playing a key role off the bench after starting 9-of-32 games at Charlotte last season.

Alabama continues to target a multitude of players from the transfer portal this offseason, as the Tide will have a plethora of new faces up and down the roster in 2026-27.
