Star Alabama pitcher Jocelyn Briski has been named among the Top 25 finalists for the 2026 USA Softball Player of the Year, it was announced Wednesday.
Briski has been widely regarded as one of the top pitchers in college softball this year. The star flamethrower currently holds a team high 1.50 ERA on the season, including an impressive record of 19-2. Briski has 153 strikeouts this season as well, and the talented junior officially finds herself among the Top 25 players in the country as a result.
The list will be narrowed down to 10 finalists on May 13, as Briski has an excellent chance to be featured once again. The star junior has played a critical role for the Tide in 2026, something that will likely continue as we approach the postseason.
The USA Softball Player of the Year will officially be announced prior to the Women’s College World Series on May 26, as Briski is undoubtedly in the mix to win the prestigious award for her efforts in 2026.
