No one knows exactly what LeBron James is going to decide to do next season.
But NBA Commissioner Adam Silver just dropped a major hint about the star forward’s future.
Fans who aren’t ready to see James call it a career will be very happy to hear what Silver had to say, as the commissioner implied that he expects James to continue his career into a historic 24th season.
"I haven't talked to him since the season ended," Silver said during an appearance on The Carton Show on WFAN. "I have every indication that he plans to keep playing next year. He certainly hasn't said [otherwise]."
Like everyone else, Silver has been incredibly impressed by James’ impact as a 41-year old over two decades deep into his career.
"I want LeBron to play as long as he actually wants to play. It's not just a 41-year-old player, with the most points ever and the most so many different categories, but he's also playing at an incredibly high level, he's not just out there," Silver said.
"We all watch players in many other sports just kind of hang out at the end. He's not hanging on. He's playing at an incredibly high level. He's doing things 25-year-olds don't do."
