Real Madrid manager Álvaro Arbeloa has firmly shut down questions about his reported rift with midfielder Dani Ceballos, sticking to the club's long-standing code of silence. The 29-year-old Ceballos was notably absent from the squad for last week's match against Real Betis—despite being fully fit—sparking rumors of a fallout that has allegedly led to a complete breakdown in communication between player and coach.

According to reports from inside the dressing room, Ceballos has told teammates he has "cut relations" with Arbeloa and, while he will continue training, will no longer feature in matchday plans. When pressed on whether a disciplinary issue was at play, Arbeloa gave a classic Madridista response: "I don't get into public debates about my players. It's been 20 years since I trained as a Real Madrid player, and the first thing I learned from the veteran players was that what happens in the Real Madrid dressing room, stays in the Real Madrid dressing room."

The drama comes at a time when the Spanish capital is buzzing with speculation over Arbeloa's future. Heavyweight names like José Mourinho have been linked to the top job, with the Portuguese coach himself denying talks on Friday. But Arbeloa isn't letting the noise distract him. "No, I'm focused on the next game, and the noise doesn't bother me. I understand all the questions you have to ask me, but my answer will remain the same. What I'm concerned about is the game tomorrow and the three points—that's what matters for my team, the players, and the club. That's the way I understand it."

Ceballos isn't the only player reportedly at odds with the manager. Rumors suggest Raúl Asencio and Dani Carvajal have also had their differences with Arbeloa. But when asked if he was disappointed with certain members of the squad, Arbeloa was quick to defend them. "Of course not—I defend them publicly. I'm in their hands because of what they show me every day. That's what a coach should do. We've had a pretty open relationship with most of them. Whatever needs to be resolved is between us. I will always defend them from this position."

As for the team's recent dip in form, Arbeloa hinted that internal matters—not public disputes—are the key to turning things around. In football, as in fashion, what happens in the dressing room stays there. Whether it's locker room tension or the pressure of a managerial hot seat, Real Madrid's code of silence remains unbroken—for now.
