What more can you say about Chelsea? More than 400 minutes without a goal, one win in 8 league games. It’s as bad as we can remember at this club. It’s frankly amazing we’re 7th – we deserve to be relegated.

On Sky Sports, Chris Sutton was on co-commentary duties, and while we usually can’t bear to listen to him, it was nice in a perverse way to have him slamming the Blues.

“Chelsea have been pumped tonight, they were pathetic and are going backwards.”

Earlier in the game he had similar thoughts, questioning the belief and the commitment of the players on the pitch:

“Chelsea are a team that looks like they have never played together before, but worse than that, it has been a really gutless display by them and they have been played off the park Brighton,” Sutton said.

“And the Chelsea players really need to take a long, hard look at themselves.”

The reality is, they gave up weeks ago. This is just the latest example.

Before the game, Liam Rosenior gave an update on two of his injured players who are missing tonight.

Chelsea’s team news for tonight’s game sees a change of formation which we can totally understand, in the circumstances.
