Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf, who wore the captains armband at the club occasionally, says Chelsea have no leaders.
The former defender was speaking about the latest Chelsea defeat, a 3-0 thrashing away to Brighton last night on the Premier League. And he says that Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are not leaders and to be honest, he’s absolutely got a poit there.

Caicedo leads by example, for sure. But he’s not what I’d call a leader or a true classic captain. Fernandez has something about him and is more vocal, but he is more petulant that anything else and his aggression just turns to moaning.
“Caicedo and Ezno Fernandez are not leaders. I’m sorry, I’ve seen leaders. I’ve played with Dennis Wise, I’ve played with Craig Burley, I’ve played with Roberto Di Matteo in the middle of the park.
“They were leaders. I don’t even talk about defenders like Marcel Desailly, Steve Clarke and up front with Vialli, Gullit, Zola, those players who were successful at my time and I don’t even talk about after what we saw (under Abramovich).”
Gary Cahill tried his best to be positive about Chelsea’s performance against Brighton, but even he found today’s game a “hard watch” and says there were “no positives”.
Chelsea’s loss at Brighton means they’ve lost fives league games without scoring for the first time since 1912. So they have now broken one of the oldest records in history.
