CBS Sports released a seven-round NFL mock draft for the Denver Broncos earlier this week.
Most Broncos fans will probably love three of the team's first four selections. With their first pick in the mock, Denver lands Texas linebacker Anthony Hill in the second round. They later add Alabama linebacker Deontae Lawson in the fourth round and Georgia tight end Oscar Delp in the fifth round. Few Broncos fans would have many quibbles with those selections.
However, one of the fourth-round picks was a head-scratcher. CBS Sports sent Miami quarterback Carson Beck to Denver with their second pick in the draft (No. 108th overall). Ryan Wilson and Ran Carthon apparently viewed "the risk of losing out on a prime backup to Bo Nix" as too much to overlook, so they took Beck at that spot.
It would certainly be an interesting decision if the Broncos actually went that way, and it would give the team a crowded quarterback room with Beck joining fellow backups Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger (who is well-regarded in Denver). Beck, set to turn 24 this season, completed 72.4% of his passes for 3,813 yards and 30 touchdowns against 12 interceptions last fall. Fans can view the full seven-round mock draft on CBS Sports.
The 2026 NFL draft will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
