The Arizona Cardinals have been active in draft-day trades over the last three years. Since Monti Ossenfort became general manager in 2023, he has executed seven draft-day deals, with at least one in every draft so far.
They are expected to be active in trading in the 2026 draft this weekend.
Let's look back at the seven deals they have done.
The Cardinals traded the No. 3 overall pick and pick No. 105 (Round 4) to the Houston Texans for No. 12, No. 33 and 2024 first- and third-round picks.
After trading down to No. 12, they moved up to draft tackle Paris Johnson.
They gave the Detroit Lions the No. 12 pick, the No. 34 pick (Round 2) and No. 168 (Round 5) for the No. 6 pick and No. 81 (Round 3).
In a trade with the Tennessee Titans, the Cardinals traded the pick No. 33 (Round 2) and No. 81 (Round 3 — just acquired from the Lions) for No. 41 (Round 2), No. 72 (Round 3) and a 2024 third-round pick.
They used the 41st pick to select OLB BJ Ojulari and the 72nd pick to select CB Garrett Williams.
The Cardinals made a deal again with the Lions, giving them pick No. 96 in exchange for No. 122 (Round 4), No. 139 (Round 5) and No. 168 (Round 5 - which they had sent to the Lions in the Round 1 deal).
They took OL Jon Gaines with No. 122, QB Clayton Tune with No. 139 and LB Owen Pappoe with No. 168.
They traded the No. 35 pick and pick No. 186 (Round 6) to the Atlanta Falcons for No. 43 (Round 2) and No. 79 (Round 3).
They used the 43rd pick to draft CB Max Melton. They included pick No. 79 in another trade.
The Cardinals traded pick No. 79, just acquired from the Falcons in the second round, to the Indianapolis Colts for pick No. 82 (also a third-round pick) and No. 191 (Round 6).
They used the 82nd pick to draft TE Tip Reiman and No. 191 to draft WR Tejhaun Palmer.
In their only deal of 2025, they traded down in the fifth round, sending pick No. 152 to the Dallas Cowboys for No. 174 (also in the fifth round) and No. 211 (Round 6).
The Cardinals selected cornerback Denzel Burke with pick No. 174 and offensive lineman Hayden Conner at No. 211.
