The Los Angeles Rams addressed their offensive line in the third round, selecting Keagen Trost out of Missouri. He was a standout lineman for the Tigers last season after spending time at three other schools previously.

He led all offensive tackles with a 92.4 PFF grade last season and was named a first-team All-American, as well as a first-team All-SEC selection. The Rams are getting a versatile lineman who can play across the board, making him a valuable piece of the line.

Trost enrolled in college at Morgan State in 2019 and played as a true freshman. He transferred to Indiana State in 2020 but the school didn’t have a season due to COVID, and he returned to the field in 2021. He spent the next three years at Indiana State, transferred to Wake Forest in 2024 and finished at Missouri in 2025.

As a result of his lengthy college career, he’s already 25 years old.

Trost was a force in the passing game at right tackle last season, allowing only one sack all year. He only allowed six total pressures, too, which were tied for the 24th-fewest in the nation.

He doesn’t have the coveted arm length but he showed in the SEC last season that he’s capable of playing outside.

According to NFL Network, the only two FBS players on offense with a higher grade than Trost last season were Jeremiyah Love and Julian Sayin. Both of them were Heisman finalists and Love was the third overall pick in the draft.

Pro Football Focus gave Trost a 91.7 run-blocking grade last season, which was No. 1 in the nation. As good as he was in pass protection, he was a road-grader in the run game. His strength and physicality as a run blocker were on full display and he could take that inside to guard in the NFL.

Speaking of guard, Trost can play both inside and outside. Sean McVay said Friday that the Rams envision him being able to play all five positions on the offensive line, including center in an emergency situation.
