The nation’s No. 1 ranked receiver in Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence North five-star Monshun Sales was back at Indiana over the weekend for his official visit.

Sales had already spent a lot of time in Bloomington during his process and has great familiarity with head coach Curt Cignetti and his coaching staff.

Adding to the excitement of the weekend was seeing Lawrence North alum and Indiana’s standout receiver from this past season’s National Title team Omar Cooper hearing his name called in the first round of the NFL Draft.

“My OV to Indiana was great,” Sales said. “My favorite part of the OV was the whole thing being with the people. The meetings with the coaches, the photo shoot, everything, it felt great to get back up there and spend great quality time with the coaches and let them show me why I should be a Hoosier.”

It’s an opportunity Sales will continue to strongly consider moving forward. Indiana’s competition includes Alabama, Ohio State, Miami and Texas. Closely following the season, watching guys like Cooper be developed, Sales is confident Indiana is a place that could cultivate his own talents.

“I think it’s the coaching and preparation,” Sales said. “Being at Indiana you will learn so much and become a smarter player and person.”

Ranked as the nation’s No. 7 prospect regardless of position, Sales continues his official visits in the summer. Alabama is set for May 29, Texas is June 5, Ohio State is locked in for June 12 and Miami is on the itinerary for June 19.

Sales also visited Indiana for a spring practice in April highlighting his time spent with Indianapolis-area products Davion Chandler, Kasmir Hicks along with Charlie Becker. He was there in January when they celebrated winning the National Championship. Sales also attended a couple games in Bloomington during the fall.

In 10 games as a junior Sales caught 37 passes for 794 yards and nine touchdowns averaging 21.5 yards per catch. He also started at safety and had 56 tackles.
