Rohit Sharma found himself in an awkward—and slightly hilarious—fan moment that has since gone viral across social media. The clip, shared by Mumbai Indians, shows a female fan rushing toward Rohit as he made his way to the team bus, eager to snap a quick selfie. But just as the moment arrived, the fan realized her phone had turned off.
"Mera phone off hogya," she said in a panic, quickly asking someone nearby for another device. Rohit, having already started walking away, was caught in the confusion. With a visible mix of frustration and bemusement, the Indian cricket star replied, "Toh abhi kya karu mai phir?" (So what do we do now?)
The deadpan response and Rohit's expression quickly sparked laughter online. Despite the hiccup, the fan eventually managed to get her selfie with the veteran batter before he boarded the bus.
While the lighthearted clip has been making rounds, Rohit has also been making headlines for his return to form for Mumbai Indians during IPL 2026. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh recently praised Rohit's impact, particularly after his match-winning innings against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium.
"It's important to be in the middle. You can do only so much sitting in the dugout," Harbhajan said while analyzing Rohit's influence on the chase. He added that Rohit's earlier return from injury could have completely changed Mumbai's season, and hinted that a slim playoff chance remains if results go their way in the remaining games.
