Kyle Joseph says it is "crazy" to play against the team his dad has supported his whole life in the Championship play-off semi-final.

There's more than just a Premier League promotion on the line for Hull City striker Kyle Joseph when the Tigers face Millwall in the Championship play-off semi-final—there's family bragging rights, too.

The 24-year-old forward admits it's "crazy" to be playing against the team his father has supported his entire life. "We used to watch play-off games Millwall were involved in, like when they played Leeds in League One," Joseph told BBC Radio Humberside. "For him, I think it'll be a big pinch-me moment seeing his son in the play-offs against the team he's watched for years and years. It's a funny moment."

Joseph joked that his dad is "talking to me this week" despite the split allegiances, but the family man is fully behind his son. "He sends me the occasional Millwall post, but he's really supportive. He's always put my best interests at heart first over his own," Joseph said. "He's been massive for me, along with my mum and the rest of my family. After the tough season I had last year, they really got around me and pushed me on to have a good season this year."

For Joseph, this semi-final represents more than just a shot at Wembley—it's a proud moment for a father who's been there through the highs and lows. "It's crazy, but we're both excited for it. He's looking forward to it, and I think it'll be a proud moment for him to see me on the pitch."

The first leg between Hull City and Millwall kicks off at 20:00 BST at the MKM Stadium on Friday, 8 May, with commentary and live text coverage available. For fans, it's a classic Championship clash. For the Joseph household, it's a family affair that will be remembered for years to come.
