Two of the URC's biggest teams went head to head on Saturday as Storm Dave tried its best to disrupt the Champions Cup last-16 match between Glasgow and Bulls. Josh Mackay was superb at 15 despite the wet and blustery conditions and was unlucky to not get on the scoresheet. A one-point victory over Stormers was enough for them to make the trip to Scotstoun on Saturday.

Glasgow Warriors have booked their ticket to the Champions Cup quarter-finals, but only after surviving a brutal, weather-beaten battle against the Bulls. In a classic last-16 clash that saw Storm Dave unleash all four seasons upon Scotstoun, two of the United Rugby Championship's heavyweights left everything on the sodden pitch.

Amidst the howling wind and rain, individual brilliance shone through. The returning Stafford McDowall was a colossus, carrying with immense power and scoring a crucial try in the corner, while fullback Josh McKay was a rock at the back, defying the treacherous conditions with a superb performance.

The narrow victory sets up a monumental challenge this Saturday: a visit from French giants Toulon. Despite their domestic struggles, Toulon have clearly targeted European glory, boasting a squad dripping with international talent, a formidable set-piece, and a monstrous forward pack. This promises to be a classic, physical cup tie where every collision will count.

For Glasgow, the belief must now be stronger than ever. Having edged past the Stormers and weathered the Bulls, the path to the semi-finals runs directly through one of rugby's most storied clubs. Can they rise to the occasion once more and continue their thrilling Champions Cup journey?
