If Indianapolis Colts' GM Chris Ballard is still looking to tweak his roster, who are the best available free agents following the 2026 NFL draft?

With the NFL draft behind us, free agent signings won't impact the compensatory draft pick formula.

Many draft analysts believe it was a successful draft for the Colts, which could lead to Ballard being comfortable with where his roster is at heading into training camp in July. That said, there are still a few positions where adding a veteran presence to further bolster the depth wouldn't be a bad idea.

With $26.62 million in available salary cap space, the Colts have more than enough room to make an addition, especially at this time of the year when contracts won't break the bank.

If Ballard does want to explore the remaining free agent market, here are a few options that could make sense for the Colts.

The linebacker spot for the Colts is much better positioned following the draft, but this unit is still thin overall. A veteran presence to provide depth could be valuable. Last season, Wagner logged 20 pressures as a blitzer. He's been an incredibly reliable tackler in his career and logged two interceptions and two pass breakups in 2025.

The Colts have options for the WR3 role between Ashton Dulin, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Deion Burks, but Ballard should still be open to the idea of adding more competition and searching for an upgrade. Jennings has totaled nearly 1,700 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns over the last two seasons.

With all the additions made here this offseason between free agency and the draft, defensive end has quickly become a crowded position for the Colts. But does that mean this unit will generate a more consistent pass rush in 2026? That remains to be seen. The more competition, the better. Jordan recorded 36 pressures and 10.5 sacks this past season, which was the 13th-most in the NFL.
