The postseason is officially here, and Texas A&M softball is ready to make some noise. The No. 6 seeded Aggies (36-16) will open their SEC Tournament run on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, against the No. 14 seed Auburn Tigers at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky.

Auburn punched its ticket to this matchup by defeating No. 11 Missouri, 6-2, on Tuesday. The Tigers (26-27) struggled through SEC play, finishing 4-20 in the conference and ending the regular season with a sweep at the hands of LSU. Texas A&M, meanwhile, posted a strong 16-8 record in SEC action. The Aggies dropped their regular-season finale series to top-ranked Oklahoma, but they did manage to steal a win from the Sooners—a sign that this team can hang with the best.

This will be the first meeting of the season between these two SEC foes. The Aggies enter the tournament with renewed confidence, especially after developing some much-needed pitching depth in 2026. That depth will be critical in a bracket that features six of the top 10 teams in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll. Texas A&M checks in at No. 15, one of 10 SEC schools ranked nationally.

Wednesday's game is the first of four scheduled at the tournament. After the Aggies and Tigers take the field at 10 a.m., the action continues with No. 10 Mississippi State vs. No. 7 Arkansas at 1 p.m., followed by No. 5 Tennessee against the South Carolina-Ole Miss winner at 4 p.m., and No. 9 Georgia vs. No. 8 LSU at 7 p.m.

Here's everything you need to know to catch the game:

When: Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET
Where: John Cropp Stadium, Lexington, Kentucky
TV: SEC Network
Broadcast team: Beth Mowins, Adam Amin, and former Texas A&M All-American Amanda Scarborough will be calling the action from the booth.

Whether you're tuning in from home or getting ready to rep your team in the stands, this is the kind of early-morning softball that makes tournament season so exciting. Let's play ball.
