Two-time defending champions DePaul was given the top seed in the 2026 Passaic County softball tournament April 20. The Spartans were seeded fifth when they beat Wayne Valley 7-3 in 2024 in the final and second last year when they downed Passaic Valley to win the 2025 title.

The top four seeds: DePaul, Passaic Tech, Passaic Valley and Pompton Lakes all received double byes into the quarterfinals.
