The first round of the 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and it was as unpredictable as ever.
It started when the Tennessee Titans surprisingly spent the draft's fourth selection on Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate. Many believed Tate would be an early selection, but few had connected him to Tennessee, where many had mocked his teammates Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese.
It reached its peak when the Los Angeles Rams selected quarterback Ty Simpson – who many thought would be a late first-round pick if he was selected on the draft's first day at all – with the 13th overall selection.
Because of the unpredictable nature of the first round, plenty of players who were considered potential first-round picks remain on the board entering Day 2. That includes the likes of Denzel Boston, Jermod McCoy, T.J. Parker, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren and more.
Those players will be hoping to hear their names called early in the second round. Quarterbacks Garrett Nussmeier and Carson Beck will also be eagerly awaiting their selection, though it isn't clear whether either will have a chance to become just the eighth quarterback chosen in the second round since 2016.
How exactly will the second and third rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft shake out? Below is a look at USA TODAY Sports' latest mock draft, which projects exactly how Day 2 could unfold.
