The Minnesota Vikings are, once again, on the board in the 2026 NFL Draft, and. . .they’ve decided they’d like to wait a little bit longer by making a trade.

Panthers receive: #49 overall (DL Lee Hunter), #196 overall

The trade is between the Vikings and the Carolina Panthers.

The Vikings have sent the 49th overall pick and the 196th overall selection, which is a sixth-round choice, to Carolina. In exchange, the Vikings have moved down to #51 overall, a two-spot drop, and have received the 159th overall pick from the Panthers. That is also a fifth-round pick.

The Panthers then used their selection to take Texas Tech defensive lineman Lee Hunter.

So, the Vikings drop down two spots and move up a long way in the fifth round of the draft.
