PLEASE DO NOT SPOIL PICKS BEFORE THEY ARE ANNOUNCED

The first round of the 2026 NFL Draft begins tonight at 8 pm EDT.

The New York Jets currently own the 2nd and 16th overall selections in the first round. With four picks in the first two rounds of the draft the Jets have the ammunition if they wish to trade up in the draft. Trading down would probably be a more popular move with many fans, especially if the Jets are able to pick up a third round pick in the process, as they currently do not own a pick in the third round.

The names most prominently associated with the Jets in the first round include edges Arvell Reese and David Bailey at #2 and wide receivers Makai Lemon, Jordan Tyson and Omar Cooper at #16. We will see shortly what direction the Jets go in.
