The first round of the 2026 NFL draft is in the books, with the second round set to begin on Friday night.
The Las Vegas Raiders selected Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall selection on Thursday, making the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner their presumed quarterback of the future.
The New York Giants, meanwhile, chose Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese with the No. 5 pick and Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa with the No. 10 pick (acquired in the blockbuster trade that sent All-Pro nose tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals).

The Giants enter Day 2 with only a second-round selection at No. 37 overall, having previously traded their third-round pick to the Houston Texans during the 2025 NFL draft -- a move that sent them back into Round 1 for quarterback Jaxson Dart.
The 2026 NFL draft is being held at Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Below are the dates and times for each remaining day.
Round 6: No. 192 overall (acquired from Miami in the Darren Waller trade)
Round 6: No. 193 overall (acquired from Dallas in the Jordan Phillips deal)
The Giants currently have no third-round or seventh-round selection.
Each team will have seven minutes to make their pick in Round 2, and that will be reduced to five minutes for Round 3. With only one current pick in tow for Day 3, the Giants will find themselves on the clock quickly.
