Philadelphia began its off-season workouts program on Monday, and while veterans and new free-agent additions are hard at work, the scouting department and GM Howie Roseman are preparing for the first round of the NFL draft, which kicks off in a matter of hours. New draft classes are always impactful, and the trickle-down effect starts with key veterans, players on the final year of their deals, and young players in jeopardy of being replaced.
Here is everything you need to know before the first pick is made at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh
You can watch the draft live on NFL Network, NFL+, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes. The first round picks off on Thursday, April 23, at 8 p.m. ET. Coverage of Rounds 2-7 will be available on the same platforms on Friday night and Saturday.
The 2026 NFL draft will take place at Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Below are the dates and times for each day.
Thursday, April 23: Round 1, 8 p.m. ETFriday, April 24: Rounds 2-3, 7 p.m. ETSaturday, April 25: Rounds 4-7, Noon ET

The time between first-round selections has been shortened from 10 minutes to eight minutes. It’s the first timing adjustment since 2008, when the allotment dropped from 15 minutes to 10 minutes. The timing for Rounds 2-7 remains unchanged from last year.
