The Chargers selected former Florida offensive lineman Jake Slaughter with the No. 63 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Los Angeles needed to address the interior part of the offensive line, which is why they took Slaughter in Round 2 after trading back eight spots with the Patriots.
A three-year starter, Slaughter earned All-America nods as both a junior and senior. He was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy in 2025 and recognized as the top center in the SEC.
In his final season, Slaughter allowed just four total pressures and only three sacks over his entire college career.
While he played center at Florida, the Chargers are likely to move him to guard where he will compete for a starting job in his rookie season.
