The first round of the 2026 NFL Draft is over, with the top 32 college prospects now rookies in the league. While the top 32 players selected become the biggest names in the Draft, there are still 225 players to be selected on Friday and Saturday. There are key names still to be called from the stage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Who remains on the board and who could the Miami Dolphins target? I turned to SB Nation’s Mark Schofield to get a look at some of the best players remaining. Below you will find his top 50 remaining players. The list includes his overall ranking for each player. You can check out his entire list of best remaining players at SB Nation’s site.

Miami is scheduled to make four picks on Friday, starting with the 43rd pick, a second-round selection. In the third round, the Dolphins hold the 75th, 87th, and 94th overall picks. The team entered the draft with a roster full of question marks and holes that need to be filled. After selecting offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor and cornerback Chris Johnson in the first round, they began addressing those needs, but they are not done finding players who can rebuild a depleted roster for this year.

Tennesse cornerback Jermod McCoy is clearly the best player on the board, and the Dolphins could afford to double up on the cornerback position, but concerns about his recovery from an ACL tear that cost him the entire 2025 season could continue to scare teams away from him. His Tennessee teammate, cornerback Colton Hood, could also be on Miami’s radar if they are looking for a second cornerback to pair with Johnson. Hood ranks 29th on Schofield’s big board and was expected to be a first-round pick on Thursday.

The two could be the start of a run on defensive secondary players. Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell is still available while at safety, Toledo’s Emmanuel McNeil-Warren might be a great pick for Miami and could give new head coach Jeff Hafley the toys he wants for the back end of his defense.

An intriguing option could be Texas A&M edge rusher Cashius Howell, who had exceptional production in college, but his measurables – especially his arm length – was less than a prototypical edge rusher. Does his film override the combine numbers? Will the NFL eat him up due to the physical limitations?

While there is a lot of focus on the defense for the Dolphins, the front office could turn to the offense for several picks on the Draft’s second day. Washington’s Denzel Boston and Alabama’s Germie Bernard still being on the board could force Miami to select a wide receiver as they look for replacements for Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Both players could be in consideration for the Dolphins’ second-round pick.

A little further down the board, Ohio State’s Max Klare could give Miami a pass-catching tight end in the third round. He is not a true in-line tight end, but he could be a mismatch as the team moves him around the offense and would give quarterback Malik Willis a solid receiving option.

Who else could Miami consider? Who do you want to see them select on Day 2?
