The Arizona Cardinals, through five picks in the 2026 NFL draft, used four of them on offense. They went with the defense in Round 6.
With the second pick of the sixth round, No. 183 overall, they selected Iowa linebacker Karson Sharar.
Sharar is 6-1 and 231 pounds. In 2025, he had his most productive season, logging 83 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks. He was a starter only one season but also played a ton on special teams to start his college career.
He is athletic, but he was projected to be drafted later, but Day 3 picks can be surprising for a lot of reasons.
He joins a room that has Mack Wilson, Jack Gibbens, Cody Simon, Owen Pappoe and Austin Keys.
