The Philadelphia 76ers' 2025-26 season has officially wrapped, and all eyes are now on the offseason. After a challenging playoff run that exposed some bench weaknesses, the Sixers are looking to reload—and the NBA draft is their first opportunity to do so.

Thanks to the Jared McCain trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder back in February, the Sixers hold a first-round pick in the 2026 draft. That deal brought them a pick originally belonging to the Houston Rockets, plus three second-rounders. With that pick slotted at No. 22, Philadelphia has a chance to add some much-needed frontcourt depth.

According to a recent ESPN mock draft, the Sixers are projected to select Santa Clara forward Allen Graves with that pick. Graves has been one of the more intriguing stories in this draft cycle, generating first-round buzz thanks to a strong analytical profile. While he's not an elite run-jump athlete and remains somewhat polarizing among scouts, his basketball IQ, skill level, and consistent productivity have caught NBA attention. He's also in the transfer portal and could return to college, making his draft decision one to watch as the combine approaches.

This season, the Sixers successfully pivoted toward a younger core, with Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe anchoring the backcourt and easing the load on Joel Embiid. Given Embiid's ongoing availability issues, adding versatile, young frontcourt players is a smart priority—and Graves fits that bill perfectly.

As a freshman, Graves put up solid numbers: 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game, while shooting an impressive 51.2% from the field and 41.3% from three-point range. Those stats suggest he has the makings of a reliable, two-way NBA contributor. For a Sixers team looking to bolster its second unit, Allen Graves could be a steal at No. 22.
