The 2026 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and the Chicago Bears should be looking to add at the defensive tackle position, a very weak spot on the defensive side of their roster. With two veterans leading the way, the Bears should be looking at the position sooner than later in this week's draft.

Currently, the team's top two players at the position are Gervon Dexter Sr. and Grady Jarrett, but they also have last year's second-round pick Shemar Turner in the fold alongside free-agent addition Neville Gallimore. While Chicago added depth this offseason, they need to find a disruptive interior defender to shore up the line.

While the Bears have other pressing needs on their roster, defensive tackle needs to be one position where they address identifying the best fit and talent to make an immediate impact. With four picks in the Top 89 selections of the draft, Chicago has an opportunity to bring in the highest talent with a best player available strategy.

Here's one for every round:

The top player at the defensive tackle spot in this year's class, Kayden McDonald is most certainly in play for the Bears and their first round pick at No. 25. The Ohio State product has great run-stopping ability which will help the defense establish a much better run defense, and would be very fun to watch in short-yardage, goal-line situations.

Another SEC product, Christen Miller could be a target for the team given that they have two second round picks. Miller did not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine in February, but he's got a great and explosive first step and a high motor that is needed to fight through blocks on the offensive line. He's got room to grow as a pass rusher, but would certainly be a force in run defense.

In his last two seasons in Oklahoma, Gracen Halton totaled 9.0 sacks and 30 pressures on opposing quarterbacks. He's one of the few players at this position in the draft who is praised for his pass rush ability and potential to be a disruptor in passing downs. If the Bears elect to wait at the position, Halton is a perfect target in the third round.

A projected mid-round talent, Dontay Corleone's first appeal is his massive size, weighing in at 340 pounds and standing 6-foot tall. Given his size, Corleone has incredible athleticism that allows him to work sideline-to-sideline, and can play both nose tackle and a 3-technique at the position. He will have to improve his pass rush style, but his run defense and violent style of play is quite intriguing.

Another player that is praised for his run stopping play, Tim Keenan is coming off the best season of his collegiate career at Alabama this past year. He was praised by coaches for his work ethic, which will help push him along at the NFL level, where he'll have to work his way up a depth chart in order to earn his playing time.

Having started the entire season as a true freshman at Penn State, Zane Durant has plenty of experience while playing for the Nittany Lions. He's got great ability to shoot the gap and is praised for his high-motor and quick hands, where he can fit as a 3-technique on the defensive line. He's not the biggest at the position, so will have to rely on his motor and ability to capitalize on his full potential.

At 6'2" and 312 pounds, Nick Barrett has good size at the defensive tackle position but is going to need to put in the work at the next level. He primarily played on special teams in his collegiate career at South Carolina until this past year where he had 42 tackles, 6 tackle for loss, 2 sacks, and one touchdown on a fumble return. It was an explosive season for Barrett, but given his lack of starting time, he'll have to earn his spot on special teams and work his way up.
